Since 1969, we have been involved in the operation of Women’s Studios for Weight-Loss, Body-Shaping & Cellulite in Europe. The Founder, Bernd Zimmermann (click here to read Bernd's career timeline), started his career in Health and Fitness in 1965, in Munich Germany, with his background in Martial Arts and Body-Building.
He opened his first Fitness Club in Vienna, Austria in 1967 "Europ-Sport-Center" also specialized in Women’s fitness. In the following 15 years, he opened an additional 10 Health/Fitness Clubs and Women studios across Austria and Germany.
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bernd Zimmermann have known each other since Bernd started his career and have been best friends ever since. They often work out together at Zimmermann Fitness Clubs.
He moved to California in 1982, became a U.S. citizen and founded Interfit Corporation Los Angeles. Bernd and his wife Marianna, a fitness expert herself, started Zimmermann Fitness for Women, offering professional and personal services with more than 30 years of combined experience in Weight-Loss, Body-Shaping and Cellulite Treatments.
In 1994, Bernd Zimmermann received the Austrian Government’s Award of Honor in Recognition of his outstanding and devoted efforts in the Promotion of Health and Fitness. Bernd travels extensively between Europe and the United States, exchanging the newest trends in Health and Fitness.
